Saving with LPG

Through running on LPG, our customers manage to save in a variety of ways. These savings fall into two main categories: financial and non-financial.

Financial:

  • Reduced fuel costs (typically 40%) as LPG costs roughly 50 pence per litre less than diesel and unleaded. To check out the latest LPG prices click here
  • Reduced road tax (VED).
  • Opportunity for some vehicles to become exempt from the London Congestion Charge

    Non-Financial:

  • Contribute to a cleaner local environment (local air quality) through lower harmful emissions
  • Reduce carbon dioxide emissions in comparison to unleaded petrol or diesel
  • Tax & Duty:

The UK government offers savings in two main ways:

  • Reduced rate of duty levied on LPG – Owing to LPG’s environmental benefits, the fuel attracts only a modest percentage of the taxation that unleaded petrol or diesel does. This essentially means that LPG is available at most outlets for just under 50% of the price of unleaded petrol.
  • Reduced car tax (VED) – Upon notifying the DVLA of the LPG conversion, owners typically find that their Vehicle Excise Duty (VED, or Car Tax) is reduced by £10-£15 per year.
  • Payment Gateways
